Studio Map Introduction: Studio MAP offers a creative art tutoring program for young people. All classes are two hours and in two parts. In one part, perceptual and drawing skills are taught as well as design, composition, colour and more. In the second part, painting is integrated with these skills. Studio MAP instructs a special series of lessons designed to fast-track and develop the fundamentals of art making. The teen class is for teenagers interested in visual art and design. Class sizes are small, ensuring individual attention. Students receive technical advice specific to their own projects and are exposed to the artmaking practices of those around them. Art historical traditions are observed in a friendly studio atmosphere. Portfolio preparation assistance is also offered. Examples of work to come: |
